Emma graduated from the Legal Practitioners Admission Board's Diploma in Law in 2008 and attained a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law in 2009. She was admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW in 2009 and the High Court in 2012.
Emma is also an Approved Legal Service Provider to the WorkCover Independent Review Office.
Emma has worked in Compensation Law since leaving school. Her first firm (Marsdens) facilitated her studying law through a law clerk program, which the firm offered to a select number of local school leavers. She worked full-time while completing her studies and has extensive experience in workers compensation, victims compensation, public liability, motor vehicle accidents and medical negligence.
In her previous position, Emma worked for a large plaintiff personal injury firm and gained invaluable experience pursuing claims through the Workers Compensation Commission, District Court and Supreme Courts. She was also involved in Court of Appeal matters and one High Court matter.
Emma says she has always been passionate about fighting for the rights of people injured due to no fault of their own. She prides herself on being approachable and down to earth and explaining the law to clients in an uncomplicated way. Emma understands and appreciates the financial and psychological pressures that are associated with an accident and endeavours to provide practical solutions to obtain the best possible result.
Personal Details and Interests:
Emma has lived in the Macarthur region for her whole life. She enjoys spending time with family, especially her young child, and friends. She also enjoys riding and showing her horses at State and National competitions.
