Jacinta has experience working across Property Law, Intellectual Property Law, Commercial Law, Wills and Estates and Family Law.
Jacinta graduated from the University of Canberra in 2011 with a Bachelor of Laws. She completed her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice through the Australian National University. In 2013 she was admitted to the ACT Supreme Court of the ACT, and in 2018 to the Supreme Court of NSW and the High Court of Australia.
After growing up in Forbes, Jacinta moved to Canberra to study Law. In her second year of study, Jacinta joined a boutique Canberra law firm as a paralegal, and on graduation worked there as a lawyer specialising in Intellectual Property and Commercial Law. In 2012 she returned to Forbes to raise her young family, working remotely for the same firm while branching out into Property Law and Conveyancing. Jacinta joined the Forbes office of Matthews Williams Solicitors and Conveyancers in January 2019, where she gained further experience in Estate Planning, Family Law and Civil Litigation.
Jacinta has a particular interest in rural and water property matters as well as Intellectual Property Law and Commercial Law.
Personal Details and Interests:
Jacinta and her family are deeply immersed in the Forbes community. Her children attend local schools and are involved in Indigenous cultural activities, music, choir and sport, including soccer, hockey and Little Athletics. Jacinta also enjoys crossfit, running, interior design and decorating, travelling, reading, watching television series and movies and listening to podcasts.
