Field of Law: Alex practises in the areas of Property, Local Government and Planning as well as Commercial Litigation.

Training: Alex has a Bachelor of Laws, a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Politics) and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Wollongong.

Professional Background: Alex Kelly is a member of both the Planning and Development Law Division and the Commercial Litigation Division at RMB Lawyers.

The Planning and Development Law Division, based at our Kiama office, is one of the specialist divisions that give the firm a clear edge. It has a reputation, built up of many years, as the best in its field in the wider region.

Alex works closely with Planning and Development Law Division General Manager Peter Moggach, who is an Accredited Specialist in Local Government and Planning Law.

Alex deals with local government authorities and private companies and individuals to resolve development disputes and to provide general property advice.

When working with Commercial Litigation Law Division, Alex is part of a team that helps clients in a broad range of commercial disputes.
These include:

• victims of fraud and deceptive trade practices
• intellectual property rights
• business relationships and partnerships
• employer-employee disagreements
• debt collection
• breach of contract
• winding up of businesses.

Personal details and interests: Alex grew up in Camden before coming to Wollongong to study at the University of Wollongong.

In his spare time he enjoys playing music and travel.
